*Your money is well spent on these top quality convertible cribs because each stylish crib converts to a toddler bed or daybed simply by adding safety rails in place of the drop sides using our optional DayBed Kit.
Conventional cribs and formaldehyde
Did you know that over 90% of new bedroom furniture is made using medium density fiberboard (MDF)? This material outgasses (slowly releases gas that was trapped or absorbed in some material) toxic chemicals like formaldehyde for years.
When you put your baby in a crib that is made of MDF or is coated in a non-organic finish you are putting him/her into a chemical factory.
What false claims should I be aware of?
Many crib manufacturers claim their cribs are made of natural wood; however they often have drawers or other parts that are made of particleboard or veneers that can cause outgassing of chemicals. Some also claim that their cribs have a non-toxic finish when they really allow polyurethane coatings, varnishes and stains that may be harmful to your baby over time.
Beauty and safety you can trust
You can feel at peace knowing that our cribs are made out of solid maple wood and have a completely non-toxic tung oil and beeswax finish that is beautiful and safe for your infant’s sensitive respiratory system. For the most sensitive of babies, all of our cribs can be ordered unfinished.
See above for the perfect natural crib to cradle your baby to bed every night.
